SHORTAGE OF RAILWAY TRUCKS.
l'er Press Association. Auckland, April 16. liefcrring to (he shortage of trucks at the meeting of the Harbor Board this afternoon, Mr. C. C. Dacre said he understood the Hoard could hardly get sufficient coal for its dredges. The chairman of the. Hoard (lion. K. Mitchelsim). said it would appear from information he laid received that the cause of tlie trouble was the fact that the Railway Department had not got trucks required in the colony. In connection with this matter, Mr. Jlasscy, J1.1i.1t., has telegraphed to the Minister for 'Railways, stating that the shortage of trucks lias now assumed a serious aspect, as the lliiiitly coal mine* have been practically suspended owing to the want of waggons. The Minister has replied, staling that he would inquire into the matter. Mr. Massey again wired, asking that there be no uurcawuable delay.
