DAIRYMEN FINED.
Auckland, April It. Samuel C'rawshaw, a dairyman, was i fined £lO and costs for failure to notify the dairy inspector of a diseased cow in ids possession. ■,- ■-■ Am.<?/run-ATin» MTDTC.. ' Auckland. April 12. At (he Police Court today, Samuel Wood and Edmund Chismnn, dairymen, were charged on the information of the Department of Agriculture with mixing lioric acid with milk supplied for human consumption. The evidence showed that in each case a .sample of milk had been taken and forwarded to the tiovernment Analyst, The report or the latter- showed that Woods' sample contained .28, and that of Chisman's .22 per cent, of boric acid. liotli defendants denied mixing the acid with their milk, which they stated was supplied to them hy other dairymen. Both eases were, adjourned! to secure the evidence of the persons from whom the milk wiut obtained,.
