ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the Ngamotu (!olf Club was held on Tuesday evening. Mr. A. Standish, president of the club, in the chair. The membership nowstood at—Playing: Men 53. ladies -10; honorary: men S, ladies 13. Several improvements had been made to the course, including the draining of swamps at \'os, 2 and !) boles, and the enlarging of green at No. 5. The election of ollicers resulted: President, Mr. A. Standish (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs. Morshcad, Alexander, C. 11. Morgan, It. Bayloy, and Dr. Walker; captain, Mr. .1. l'aton; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr. (!. 11. Morgan; committee, .Messrs. dolius, Dixon, Steeds, and Armilage; trustees, Messrs. W. Bewley, and J. l'aton; auditor, Mr. C. 11. Weston. It was decided to play this year's men's championship by match play. Last year it was by medal play.
Alter considerable discussion,,on the motion of Mr. .lohns, it was decided that for this year on Thursdays and Saturdays afternoon tea be provided by the club at a charge of 3d per cup.
Jt was moved thai the committee take into consideration the question of a small entrance fee for such matches as they may think tit. At a subsequent meeting of ladies, Miss McKellar was elected secretary, with the. following committee:—Mrs. Paton, Misses Percy-Smith, Hoskin, Eraser, Deacon and Standish.
