NEW I'LYJKirm CLUB. The annual general meeting of Ihe Xew Plymouth lloekey Club was held on Tuesday. Mr Stanlev Smith [iresided. The following new members were elected:—Ur Fookcs, Messrs K. W. Crillilhs, Nicoll, I'hnpson, Amhury and Ilonan. 'the election of ollicers resulted:—President, J)r Fookes; vice-presidents, Messrs Stanley Smith, C. \V. Covelt and T. Averv; captain, Mr V. 11. Beat (reelected) ; vice-citjitain, Mr \V. A. Calhro (re-elected); seevctavv and treasurer, Mv .1. K. Avery (re-elceied); auditor, Mr 11. Stocker (re-elected); general committee, olliee bearers and Messrs Nieoll, M. Avery and Ciittield; selection committee, captain, vice-captain, and. Mr 1!. Cutlieid; delegate, Mr J. K Avery (reelected).

Mr Nieoll mentioned a probable visit this vear from the Addington (Christchurch) Club, and me secretary was asked to communicate with the Addington Club wiih a view to arranging one or more matches at New Plymouth. At the annual meeting of the Inglewood Club on Tuesday evening, the 'following ollicers were eleclcd: Patron, Mr. I'ercival; president, Mr. Croinbie; vice-presidents, Messrs. 11. Curtis, C.ibbs, dudgeon, and Uowe; lion, secretary and treasurer, ti. Ward; committee, Messrs. Henderson, Manby, Phillips, Prigg, and Head; auditor, 0. .Martin; selection committee, Phillips, Rolston and Ward. The secretary was instructed to write to neighboring clubs re running a junior competition. It w'as reported that the net result of the socials last, winter was slightly over £l3. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr. Henderson, the outgoing secretary, for the very able manner in which he had carried out his duties as secretary, and also for his management of the winter socials. A vote of thanks was also accorded the ladies connected with the socials for theii very valuable and willing assist-ance.-—"Kecord."
