PARIHAKA ROAD BOARD
A special meeting of the above Board was held on Thursday. There were present: Messrs J. Young, Willcox, Revell, Sorreuson, O'Rorke and Deogan. In the absence of Mr Rothcry, Mr J. louug presided. Discussion arose as to the legality of the meeting, and it was proposed to adjourn until the next ordinary meeting. The motion was lost, and the meeting proceeded. Mr Widcox asked that his objection as to the legality of the meeting be recorded. Mr Sorrcnsen then moved the notice of motion standing in his name, "That the resolutions passed by the Board debarring J. Clarke and R. Harford from contracting under the Board' be rescinded." Mr Revell seconded, one member voting against it. Tenders were opened as follows:Metalling 44 chains, Opourapa road, B. Harford, £3 IDs per chain; J. Clarke, £3 Us (id; G. Vickery, £3 7s; it. Warner (accepted), £3. Metalling 40 chains, Opqurapa road —Geo. Vickery £3 13s per chain; W. Dugan, £3 8s; R. Warner (accepted), a 3s. I The meeting then rose.
