Auckland, February 20.
The adjourned inquest touching the death of an infant named Douglas Allen Campbell was eontinned this afternoon. The jury Returned the following verdict: "That the child died at the residence of Mrs Eliza Davies. The cause of death was want of proper nourishment, and that Eliza Davits, being iu charge of the infant, did cause death by failing to supply him with the necessaries sf life and medical attention." Mrs Davies was placed under arrest and will appear at the Police Court on a charge of manslaughter tomorrow,
