FIRE AT NAPIER.
Per Press Association. Napikh, January 31, A fi.-o broke out about 11.15 to-night in tho upstairs portion of a baker's shop and dwelling in Dickens street, belons-ing to J. Alexander. The fire had a fairly strong hold when discovered, but there was no wiud, and tho lire was confined almost entirely to the upper part of the building, which was gutted, and tho contents destroyedTho bakehouse adjoining was saved* It is not known how tlio fire originated.
