This request was made in order to avoid all "-offence to Hindu religious feeling. The Hindus, who at the outset of the Ameer's visit, were among the first to strew his path with flowers, warmly appreciate the con sidcration thus shown for their feel ings, which is likely to produce a remarkable effect upon co-religionists throughout India. t
