Under Mr Haldane's Army reorganisation scheme, the Militia con tribute ' to the Army Expeditionary Force 3240 cavalry, 10,337 artillery. 2423 engineers, 10,775 army service corps, 3088 medical corps, 511 veterin ary and 441 ordnance corps.

Mr Haidane, in a speech at Glasgow, outlined the scheme, which had been sanctioned by the King, to or ganisc the Home Army into six great divisions, of three brigades each, with* four brigades of cavalry and artillery, and surplus batteries, to be utilised in different parts of the country for th? training of additional artillerymen. .
