FATAL FIRE AT MASTERTON
BOARDER BURNED TO DEATH Per Press Association. Masiebton, December 6. Shortly after midnight a fire was discovered in a boardinghouse in Queenstreet, owned by the trustees of the Land Estate, and occupied by Mrs Watson. One of the inmates was burned to death, and two others seriously injured. The victim has not yet been identified, but is believed to be John Cuff, who camo to the district from Oamaru recently. Tits building was insured for £375, and the furniture for £2OO, both in the Northern office.
