BERIOUS COACH ACCIDENT.

Per Press Association. Napier, December 4. A serious coach accident occurred at a spot about five miles beyond Rissington this morning. The Puketitiri coach, driven by Samuel Lindj and containing five passengers, cap* sized over a bank, and roiled down for about 12 or 14 feet, being then l stopped by a fence. The five horses drawing the coach bolted when going down hill owing to the swingle tree breaking. The driver, a very cara-i ful whip, did all in his power to get the horses under control again, but unfortunately in trying! to avoid a timber waggon coming in the opposite direction, a collision took place, and the coach went over the bank atl reported. One of the passengers, 'GrindeU, had his leg broken on tha previous evening, and he sustained \ severe bruises to his shoulder and other injuries. Another passenger named Hansen had his collarbone broken, while a third, named Robert Stevenson, lias a bad.'y bruised knee, The driver sustained severe bruiseg about, the face and body.
