Owing to delay on the part of the Licensed .Victuallers' Association and the Caterers' Association in filing objections to the recommendations 9 >f of the Conciliation Board in the cooks end waiters' dispute, the recommends* tions have become an award. Their; reference was filed a day too late. Th« employees are delighted at the Board's recommendations coming into force. The Arbitration Court to-day cjis* missed a charge 'against a firm of warehousemen of makng up bespoke suits, there being no provision in thei tailoresses' award against letting out bespoke orders to a factory.
