THE FRJSCO MAIL STEAMERS

Per Press Association.. Auckland, November 30. The mail steamer Sonoma arrived from Sydney this afternoon. The engines worked stiffly for a couple 01 liays after the overhaul at Sydney, but the last day's run was a good one, 15 knots an hour being averaged. Captain Trask the commander, states, that he is confident that tho Sonoma will make contract time to San Francisco. The steamer leave* eariy in the morning on her voyage.
