DR. DANYSZ AND STAFF ILL. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE DE- -*• SPATCHED. NO DEFINITE INFORMATION AVAILABLE. Received 21st, 9.52 p.m. Sydney, November 21. ' Newcastle reports thai, a message wa* received tnere to-day asking that medical assistance be sent at once to Broughton lsland t where it is reported sickness has broken out amongst the staff conducting Dany-2 rabbit virus experiments. No information is forthcoming ?s to the nature of the illness or the number of sufferers, excepting thai Dr. Danysz himself is ill. Tne mesage was repeated several time* from .ue island in quick succession. The Government steamer, with a doctor and medical outfit, was immediately despatched to the island. Dr. Ashburton, questioned on he matter, said all he knew was that Dr. Danysz had telegraphed him stating be was sick, and asking that a doctor be sent at once. Dr. Thompson has no idea of the nature of the ailment, but is perfectly ' / certain that it is not due to contact * with the virus.
