WARNING TO DIOCESES. Received sth, 10.6 p.m. Paris, November 5. French bishops have warned the dioceses not to participate in the format on of associations. Bultuciles, Bishop of Coutance;, threatened to excommunicate participators. STATE-RESUMED CHURCHES. Received oth, 12.18 a.m. Paris, November 5. M. Biiand, French Minister of PuWic Instruction, interviewed, stated that two thousand churches have become the property of the State, though the Church was allowed free use of them for worship. Sixteen million pounds of Church property would be sequestrated and the interest used to maintain religious edifices.
