The continued dry weather is causing some anxiety, and a good soaking downpour of the rains that are usually so prevalent at this time of ihc year would be welcome. Two energetic members of the school committee recently put in a solid morning's graft at the upper school, and aver the job roquired a good deal of Scotch engineering. The chairman has not yet passed the work..
Jerseys seem to "do" very well in this district, and the high testing breed is rapidly growing in favour. Some fine Ayrshircs from Mr R. 1). Cornall's have lately been introduced here, some farmers thinking the Ayr-shire-Jersey is hard to beat for dairying purposes Materials for the improvement of the creamery premises are on the ground.
