THE CARNEGIE LIBRARY!
To the Editor.
Sir, —Dilatoriness is the one virtue jf our Borough Council. Such is the state of affairs at the present moment with our city fathers in connection with the Carnegie library site.
I venture to think, Mr Editor, were lads selected from either the High School or Central to decide the above with detail first explained to them, that 15 minutes would do it. As a ratepayer, I certainly object to the frivolous waste of time our Council indulges in, and am bold enough to say that a little less talk and more common-sense shown would be better foi the town as a whole, and ratepayers would feel the £2500 offered may be yet ours.—l am, etc., PRO BONO PUBLICO.
P.S. —Would the Mayor call a public meeting to decide matters before the gift is lost.
