RAND LEGISLATION.
BRITISH INDIANS' APPEAL. Received 12th, 10.1 p.m. Johannesburg, September 12. A mass meeting- of British Indians at Johannesburg resolved to appeal to the King to secure tin- withdrawal of tho Asiatic ordinance on the ground that it is tyrannous, reducing Indians below the status of Kaffirs and branding them as criminals and suspects.
