(Per Press Association.) Wklhsgtoh, September H, SirWm. Steward recently brought before Parliament the ease of a young woman in South Canterbury, Lilian *f°bbs.wh o was charged with infantioide. On this charge the woman was not convicted, but was committed to Lyttelton Guol on the ground of insanity. Sir William drew the attention of the Government to the fact that the young woman was no longer held to be insane, and asked whether her case, could be looked into. This morning he, received word that the Government, had signed a warrant for the discharge--of the woman from custody.
