MUNICIPAL CONFERENCE.

The Municipal Conference to-day resolved that Councils should retain the management of fire brigades, and that Parliament should direct insurance companies to bear part cost of maintaining brigades ; that tho Rating on Unimproved Values' Act be amended by abolishing the present limit of rating, and fixing rating power in tlie pound on'tbe unimproved value without comparison to the capital yaluo.
