EDISON'S POPULAR PICTURES
0.1 Tuesday and Wednesday next a series of pictures, that promises to be well worth seeing, will bo thrown upon the screen in the Theatre Royal The New Zealand tour of Edison's pictures has been a great success, crowded audien;cs attending every performance. The most modern examples of animated photography have been secured from America, and the programme will include an hoar of scenes in American industrial, commercial, and financial li r c. There will bo films representing America at play and at work, and vivid representations of the great metropolitan fire department fightinn the (limes at a New York (ire. Another hour and a half will be devoted to diverting films, including a ludicrous series of " chase " pictures. A scries of splendid films will show the leading thoroughfares of San Francisco, before and after the earthquake, including one of the actuaj blowingup of walls by dynamite, and the progress of the (ire. There will be pictures of beauty spots in California and other parts of the United States, and photographs of President Iloosevelt.
