A fire broke out Ibis morning in an eight-roomed house in Parncll, owned an occupied by Mr W. Hodgson, resulting in I Ik- total d.Mnn-tiou of the back portion of the premises. Fireman A. McKay was lirst on the spot and in his efforts tc combat the flames before the arrival of the rest of the brigade, he suffered some rather severe injuries to his hands and face, necessitating the service- of a doctor. T'ae insurance on the building is t - J">u and on the furniture £-'7o, in the South British olliee.
