In regard to the appeal by the Stratford Racing Club against a decision of the Taranaki Metropolitan Committee with reference to- the disqualifications of Alex. Mitchell, Jas. Mitchell, J. D. Mitchell and A. If. Christie, the Judges (Messrs H. D. Bell, Geo. Hunter and K. It. Guinness), who were appointed hy the Racing Conference to adjudicate in the case, have decided that the originil judgments of tho Stratford Committer were mado without jurisdiction, by reason of the presence of two members who could not properly sit, and therefore they disallowed the appeal. Under the very special circumstances the Judges direct that the deposit of £2O be returned to the appellants without deduction.
