A YOUTHFUL CRIMINAL.
Per Press Association. I Duskdih, August 10. A youth, who has ejidentty determined on a criminal career, was before the Police Court to-day, on charges of, burglary and theft. Six years ago, when between ten and eleren, he was convicted of breaking and entering, and was burchod and sent to Burnham Industrial School. He made repsatod attempts to escape, and the master had to acknowledge to the Education Department that he was at his wits' end to, know what to do with him. Becently he has been living in a small cottage in South Dunedin, whence he engaged in breaking' and entering, and other thefts. To-day he pleaded guilty, after hearing the evidence, to five oharges, and was found guilty with another boy on another charge. He, was committed for sentence on throe j charges, and convicted and ordered to oome up for sontence on two others.
