Per Press Association. Diwkdin, August 19. The case of me Commissioner o' Taxes versus the City Corporation, was concluded this evening This was a ilaim for £853, duty on tramway material. The point involved was whether points and crossings for electric tramways were rails lot tramways, or tramway material not otherwise enumerated. A special jury gave a unanimous verdict that the articles won rails for tramways, and therefore no: dutiable. Judgment was entered up for the City Corporation, with costs on the highest scale.
