STEALING TRUST MONEYS.

SOLICITOR GOIIMITTED FOE TRIAL. PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION. Chbistoiidbcii, August 1. F. H. Bruges, solicitor, and J. Goodman, clerk, were committed for trial to-day on five chorgcs of stealing moneys belonging to a client, Henry Tuck. The accused are alleged to liave stolen £2OO on April 18tli, 1903, £ 100 on October 12tli 1901, £260 on March. 2nd 1901, £l5O oa 1898, £6O on February sth 190? The evidence led for the prosecution was to the effect that Goodman had received from Tuok the various amounts on the understanding that they were to be advanced on certain properties which Tuck had inspected. In respect of some of tho advances Tuck received several instalments of interest, and in others ho receivod nothing. It trans, pired after Bruges' bankruptcy that the amounts had not been invested in the way supposed, but had gone iuto Bruges' general account, and Tuck had lost them.
