Mr Low, of Wanganui, is at present in New Plymouth, Mr Hurst, of Wellington '• Truth " staff, is stajing at the White Hart Hotel.

Mr and Mrs Heslop, of Pcncarrow, Sentry Hill, are staying at the White Hart Hotel,

Mr Bateson. of the London Land and Agency Company, is staying at the Criterion Hotel.

Miss Turner has taken up her duties as clerical assistant in the Taranaki County office. "Mr _Gardiner, the Government health inspector for Tsranaki, was in New Plymouth on Wednesday. Mr E. J. Wilkinson, of Eltham, was in town on Wcdnosday. He intends taking a holiday trip through the Fiji Islands and left for Auckland last night to join the Islands' boat on 26th inst.

Miss Whitaker, for the past nine months cadet in the Taranaki County oflhse, has assumed a similar position in the New Plymouth Town Clerk's offlcc. Mr John. Rutherford, manager of the Hillsborough (Egmont Road) Dairy Factory, has been appointed manager at the Bell BlockFaotory, from thirtythree applicants.

Among the visitors to New Ply. mouth, staying at the White Hart Hotel last night were Messrs Young, Evans, Steuart, B. Spence, and T, Mercer, of Stratford, representatives from the Stratford Masonic lodge at the De Burgh Adams lodge.
