TAIT'S LIVING PICTURES.
It is very questionable whether the greater part of the books written on Ceylon convey such a true conception of that interesting country as the pictorial representation entitled "Sunny Ceylon," which is to be exhibited tonight at the Theatre Eoyal, in conjunction with an entirely neir series of piotures under Messrs Tait's direction. " Sunny Ueylon " shows the whole of that beautiful island with its wealth of tropical scenery, the. temples, rickshaws, elephants, the natives at their multifarious occupations, the architectural splendour of the palatial edifices of the worshippers of Buddha, and a sensational effect is a fight between a oobra and a mongoose. An industrial series, entitled "Building a British Railway," is another record aohievemont of modern biosoopic act, and embraces the very many branches of up-to-dato railway construction. A very big feature of this picture is that it is taken during the actual working hours of the employees of the London and N.W. Railway workshops and is claimed to bo a film possessing highly instructive elements. In addition to these pictures many other new and original films of a novel and humorous character will be displayed by electricity with Mossrs Tait's usual care as to distinctness and absence of flickering.
