PROHIBITION ORDERS.
PES PfiESS ASSOCIATION. AtTKLAND, July 17. In dealing with a charge of supplying liquor to prohibited persons, Mr Kettle, S.M., said: "It has been stated that some ot the provisions of the licensing laws are not enforced, for instance, prohibition orders, It is considered by some people that prohibition orders are of no avail; they say that in other parts of the colony prohibition orders are not enforced. There are a number of our laws which, are not properly enforced, but I am glad to say that in Auokland the police are aliye to the necessity of seeing that these laws are properly enforced. These laws, to be of any use, must be rigidly enforoed, and I am going to enforce them."
