EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.
PUS PJBSS ASSOCIATION Chhistchcsch, July 16. During the eleventh week of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's egg-laying competition, at Lincoln College, 585 eggs were laid, making a total to date of 5524. The highest totals for the week were : G. Ashton, Silver Wyandottes, 26; W. McEae Peacock, 20; Mrs Gordon, Brown Leghorns, 18. Tie highest totals to date are M. Blanch, Silver Wyandottes, 153 ; J. Ashton, Silver Wyandottes, 144, | H. Pennell, Buff Leghorns HI.
