LODGE MEETINGS.
ODDFELLOWSHIP, The usual fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Egmont Lodge was held last evening, N.G H. H. Ford presiding, A fair number of members were in attenctonce. The balance-sheet and Auditor's report for the quarter ending June 2fitli, was read and adopted. The receipts for the quarter were £31)7 12s Id, and expenditure £258 Ss lid, leaving a balance of £lll 3s iOd. The Trustees' balance-sheet for the halfyear was received, showing the total worth of the Lodge to be £5804 Us od, being an increase for the quarter of £BO 7s 2d. The total membership is 211 members, and the sick pay for the past quarter was the heaviest on record, being £10!> osßd. The District Officers notified the Lodge that they would pay an otlieial visit on the next Lodge night, the 2:ird inst., and the Lodge will also entertain the members of the Excelsior Lodge with a return eribbagc and euchre tournament. It is hoped there. will be a good attendance of members. One candidate was initiated and two more proposed. GOOD TEMPLARS. The weekly session of Egmont Lodge, 1.0. G.T., was held in the Ouecn street schoolroom on Monday evening Bro. J. C. Legg presided, atul there was a large attendance of members and visitors. Two candidates were proposed and initiated. Bro. Maunder submitted his report as representative to the No-Licence Convention in Auckland. The programme for the evening was a " Dutch Auction," after which a short programme of musical items was rendered.
