PETROLEUM.
THE JNGLEWOOD COMPANY. A. meeting of those interested in the formation of a company to exploit the oil bearing country at Inglewood, was held at New Plymouth on Thursday evening. Thero was a good attendance, and Mr D. Teed was in the chair.
It was decided to form a company, to be called the " Inglowood Oil Boring and Prospecting Company," with a capital of £5,000, consisting of 500 shares of £lO value.
Tho following provisional directors were appointed Messrs H. Brown, A. D. Gray, T. Furlong, G. Eamson, L. Steele, A. E. Watkins, W. L. Alexander, and C Ahior. Mr Brown, at a lator meeting,) was elected chairman.
It is proposod to immediately pro. cced with the formation of the company, Mr C. F. Footo was appointed secretary pro. tcm.
