Col. Leuchars' two squadrons of U mooti Mounted Rifles proceeded to Bokinyoni Hill on the Zululand sido of the Buffalo river and surprised a party of robels, killing eight. Col. Leuchirs' force camped ou the hill, Sibindi' s iuipi joining hiiu there. They attacked at half-past five in tho morning, 600 Mehleka Zulus and Mtelis rebels who were approaching under good cover. When the onemy reached within fifty yards they received a heavy rifle lire, and retreated. Fifty-seven rebels were killed in the fight and thirteen more in the subsequent pursuit. One rifleman was killed and three other wounded.
The friendlics fought excellently and expelled the enemy from a donga where they were sheltering. Col. Leuchars returned to Krantz. kop. FURTHER 11EINFOKCEMENTS. ANOTHER BRUSH WITH REBELS. FORTY KILLED. Received 30, 11.7 p.m.

In a brush with rebels in a bush valley near the Insuzi river, forty rebels were killed.
