PERSONAL.
At Wacrcnga-a-hika, Poverty Bay, on Thursday last, Mr A. W. Thompson, son of Mr .Tames Thompson, of Ngaire, was married to Miss Louisa Hamon.
The Ecv. 0. A. B. Watson, of Stra'ford, has definitely declined to accept the appointment of St. John's Church, Roslyn, Mr Gr. L. Cook, of Taihape, who succeeds Mr F. W. Furkert as Residen,. Engineer of the Public Works Department at Stratford, has taken up his duties. Mr Furkert leaves to take charge of the Maiu Trunk railway works at Taihape on Thursday. His Worship the Mayor lias been elected a life member of the Taranaki Killes, and Dr. Fookos an honorary member.
Constable G. Russell, who has been stationed at New Plymouth for the past ten years has been transferred to Palmerston North, and leaves for bis new station by the mail train this morning.
