HOSPITAL BOARD'S FINANCES.
A SATISFACTORY STATEMENT!
" When we consider," said the Chairman of the Hospital Board (Mr G. Tisch) on Monday, " that we started last year with a debit balance of £1135, and that on March 31st last the bankbook showed a credit of £295, it will be generally conceded that we have pulled through very well. You must remember also that we have spent £1577 odd in building tho consumptive annexe, the new nurses' home, tho new morgue, and so on, and this makes it all the more pleasing to be able to congratulate the Board on its satisfactory position. The amount of fees paid, £1558 14s 9d is in itself proof of the secretary's success in collecting the accounts, and I wish lo thank liim for his work."
