LASTED FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. WIDE AREA AFFECTED. Bcceived 19, 5.<i2 p.m. New Yobk, April 18. The extraordinary 'Frisco shock began at sixteen minutes past five in the morning, aud lasted for several minutes, with recurrences. A wide area was effected. Most of the wires are down. Many fires havo brokon out.
