OLYMPIA ELITE RINK.
Skating! The magic word brings back to memory a pastime full of fascination. To-night the long-looked-for re-Opening of the above rink is to take pines at 8 o'clock. The arrangements arc just about as complete as the management can make them. The comfort aud the convenience of future patrons seem to have b;cn studied thoroughly, and good order and decorum will be rigidly enforced. The rink is stocked with 500 pairs of new American skatos of the latest pattern, both plain and ball-bearing. These should do away with any discomfort, and should ensure a uinht's thorough enjoyment. The director states that he intends during the coming season to hold carnivals both for children and adults, novelty races of all kinds for both ladies and gentlemen, and a hockey tournament for five handsome medals, fifteen membcrs being wanted at once, as an early start is to be made. Also a milo skating championship of Tarauaki is to be held. The opening ceremony will be performed by His Worship the Mayor (Mr E. Cock). Priees, hours, etc., are published elsewhere.
