RECORD CUSTOM'S REVENUE.
FEB 7BESS ASSOCIATION Wellington, March 31. Tlio Custom's revenue for tho port, which liaa been steadily increasing for somo years past, and which maybe taken as. an indication of tho growing trade of Wellington, placed the local office in the position of being able to declare a record for a quarter for the colony, and a record total for Wellington for the financial year, which ended to-day. The total for the quarter at Wellington is £201,019 17s lid, as against £176,899 lis lOd for the corresponding quarter of 1905. "The previous record was £196,029 12s 10cT, which figures are shown for the third quarter 1 of last year. Tho figures for tho financial year, ending to-day, total £705,642 16s lOd, the amounts collected during tho previous five years being as follows: For tho year ending 31st March, 1901, the total revenue was £502,590 5s 2d ■, for 1902, £SOB, 918 5s 8d; for 1903, £560,968 15s 9d; for 1904, £656,778 17s; for 1905, £666,369 lis lOd j for 1906, £705,642 16s lOd.
