FATAL ILLEGAL OPERATION.
MIE PBBSB ASSOCIATION. Atjcmand, March 27. At tho inquest to-day on the death of Elizabeth Caffrey, 23 yean of age and single, the jury returned a verdiot that death was caused by an illegal operation which caused blood poisoning, but there was no evidence to enable them to determine who performed the illegal operation. Several doctors who n-ere present at the post mortem gare evidence. Some stated a mechanical instrument had been used, while'others, while not speaking definitely, believed a certain, mark was "caused by natural causes.
