In New Zealand's second innings Tucker scored 43 (not out), Graham 36, Lusk 29, Monaghan. 17, Downes 18, Hickson 8, Redgravo 7, Boxsfcall 5, and Ollivior, Brooke-Smith and Malone each nil.

Armstrong secured four wickets for It \ McLcod, four Ix 76; Butler, one for 0; L&vcr, one for 3.. Final scores: Now Zealand, 77 and 167, Melbourne, 228.
