NUMBER OP GUEBTB AFFECTED PBB PBKBB ASSOCIATION, Cheistchubch, March 27. A number of guests who attended ft wedding at Addington at the end of last wcok hare been seriously affected with ptomaine poisoning. The most serious case is that of Mrs Sinclair, the mother of the bride, the doctor in attendance admitting that her condition is precarious.' Mr J. R. Sinclair, her ion, and hie wife and child were also among those affected, but they are all improv. nig. Mrs Peryuian, of Taitapu, another sufferer, has been in a serious condition, but is now on the road to recoTery.

Besides those mentioned a large number of people are still nnder medical care, but no further serioui conseqttenoes are anticipated. Later. ! Twenty-two of the persons who attended the wedding at Addington at the end of last week were affected with ptomaine poisoning. Mrs Sin. chiir who was in a serious condition yesterday, took o bad turn this morn* ing, but improved later in the day. The others are also improving. Th» poison is supposed to have been contained in some trifle, for only those who ate trifle Were affected. The entire catering for the wedding was done by, a firm of local confeotioners.
