CANTERBURY'S DISQUALIFICATION. PEII I'BKSS ASSOCIATION. Christchurgh, February 1:1. At a meeting of (the committee of the Cantcrbvy branch, of the New Zealand Rugby Union held to-night, the disqualiucation of the branch by the New Zealand .Union for non-pay-ment of a deputed amount of £1 6s was discussed. The committee resolved to decline to pay the amount, and that the Canterbury representatives in the New Zealand team should be notified, on their arrival at Auckland, that as the branch was suspended, they had become disqualified players. It was also resolved to bring the matter before the English Rugby Union.
