INQUEST ON BODIES. l'EI! I'IIHSS ASSOCIATION. ArcKiANu, January 25. The iiKjuest on the bodies recovered after the collision between the Claymore and tho Kapanui was continued to-day. Southgate, of the Kapanui, stated that he could not go inside of the Gaol on ■the day of the collision, us ho would have to puss over the mine fields, against which Ihc Wellington authorities had warned Master Mariners. The Coroner remarked that if this statement had been made at the Marine Inquiry it might have had an important effect on the decision.
