The total for the thirty-seventh week of the New Zealand Egg-laying Competition was 1,470, making a grand aggregate of 68,018, and the weekly average per pen of M'7o, The highest layers for the week were: —Brook's White Leghorns (South Australia) 211 ; St Loger's White Leg horns (Sjeviu) 28; Worthington's Silver Wyamlottes (Auckland) 21!; Zita Shaw's Silver Wyandotte's (Blenheim) 21). The order of merit iu the grand aggregate now is—St. -Leger, llM>(i ; Brooks, 970; Marlborough A. and I'. Association, 1)51; Miss Miokshaw (Blenheim) 911; Jonathan Hodsou (Blenheim) 1)211. All the pens mentioned consist of White Leghorns. There are about eighty broody hens, and about thirty well advanced with the moult.
