OBTAINING MONEY BY FALSE PRETENCES.

William Ueorgc Phillips, liom Hawera, was committed for trial on three charges of obtaining!money for Qhotographs by false pretences. .He visited the district twelve months ago, professing to enlarge photos, and took over a hundred orders. It is charged against liini that ho never accounted for the deposits or photos.
