HEW ZEALAND EXHIBITION

(Per Fran Association.) CHRISTCHU'RCH, Sept. 29. The weekly official review of the progress of the Now Holland Iwlernational Exhibition states that Dec. 16 next, the anniversary day of tho province of Canterbury, 'has been selected as the day on which it is proposed to loy the foundation stone of the exhibition buildings. The ceremony will bo carried out on lines suitable and littimg to the inception of an undertaking which is fra-ught with 'great possibilities ami results, both to the present and tiro future of the colony of New Zealand. It is intended to jnaka this important event distinctly historical.
