PARLIAMENT.
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13. LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Tho Council disposed of several local Bills. HOUSE" OF REPRESENTATIVES. The House met at 2.30 p.m. On Mr Seddon's motion, the Dunedin Evening Star and Lyttelton Times were declared to have committed breaches of privileges of the House by publishing what purported to be a report of the proceedings at a meeting of the Education Committee. Mr Seddon pointed out that in bis speech in tin- Town 1 all , Wellington. on Monday night, MrJamW Allen hml disclosed a portion of what took place at <hc meeting o the Education Committee, and on his motion it was decided that a breach of privHcge had COT ™ ~ ted by the New Lyttelton Times, and the Chnst church Press, by publishing Mr A 1 len'a remarks. . Mr Seddon intimated that «rc would move next day to set_ up Privileges Committee to consider the case*.
