Their Welcome Appreciated. Hopes for Still Closer Friendship, (Received Aug. 11, 11.55 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 11, At the Guildhall luncheon, Admiral Qaillard warmly assured the Lord Mayor that France warmly appreciated the magnificent welcome Great Britain had extended to the sailors of the French ;| Madron now in England. His hopes were that the friendship (between the two nations may bo drawn still closer, and the Channel •ecomcabond of union.
