Floods Imminent in Napier.
Low Country Under Water. (Per Press Association.). ■NAPIKK, Aug. 3. The heavy rain of the past two days lias wen severely felt in the country districts and the heavy sea running ' iii the bay has added to the trouble. The Meanee district is again under water to a considerable extent, and reports from other districts show that in many places the rivers are running bank high, and rising rapidly, and as the rain is still falling steadily a flood is feared in all the lowlying districts. At Olive, the mouth' of the Ngaruroro is reported u, be blocking up in the town. A l.eavy slip is reported in the Milton Road ; a large quantity of earth coming.' down from Colcnso Hill and completely engulfing the outhouses of a. •au-ilduvg below and damaging a. part of the bouse itself. Other smaller slips have taken place in various parts of the borough.
