Conflicting Reports. ENORMOUS JAPANESE FRONT. , AWAITING THE BLOW. RUSSIANS COMPLETELY IN THE DARK. CONVERGING COLUMNS. (Received June 21, 11.47 p.m.) LONDON. June 21. The persistence of the Japanese on the offensive in Manchuria is impairing confidence in St. Petersburg in the efforts to obtain peace. Russian, Correspondents in Manchuria claim that the army is ready to fight for another year, but private telegrams depict the situation .in alarming colours. H* Japanese are operating i n an enormous front extending, from the Mongolian frontier to NorUicrn Eo* reaThe Russians are completely in the dark as to what point in the 400 I- miles tire decisive blow will be dealt. Three Japanese columns are moving parallel to the coast in northeast Korea, apparently Converging on Possiet Bay,' whither a large fleet of transports has sailed from Gensan.
